Terms of Use
Last updated: May 21, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of APYCalculator.com (the "Site"), operated by Information Services Inc. ("Information Services Inc.", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
About the Site
APYCalculator.com is a free informational website. It provides calculators, rate comparisons, and educational content about US savings products (high-yield savings accounts, certificates of deposit, money market accounts, cash management accounts, and Treasury bills). The Site does not require registration, does not have user accounts, and does not process payments.
Not financial, legal, or tax advice
The content on the Site, including all calculator outputs, rate comparisons, account-type explanations, and guides, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be, financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, or tax professional.
Calculator outputs are projections based on the values you enter. They assume the rate you input stays constant for the period shown, which will not happen in practice for variable-rate accounts. Actual returns depend on the specific terms of any account you open, changes in the rate environment, fees, taxes, and other factors. Do not rely on any output as a guarantee of future results.
Before opening any savings, deposit, or investment account, verify current rates, fees, and terms directly with the financial institution, and consult a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional about your specific situation.
Rate data
Rate information on the Site is collected from publicly available sources and is provided for comparison purposes. Rates change frequently and without notice. We make no warranty that any rate displayed on the Site is current. Where a rate is shown without recent verification, we attempt to label it as such. In all cases, verify the current advertised rate at the institution before opening an account.
Use of the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You agree not to:
Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law. Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers other than standard search engine crawlers) to access the Site, except as permitted by our robots.txt file. Copy, redistribute, sell, or republish substantial portions of the content on the Site without our prior written permission. Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its security. Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any software on the Site. Use the Site to transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code. Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.
Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, calculator outputs, layout, design, and software, is owned by Information Services Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The APYCalculator.com name and logo are trademarks of Information Services Inc.
You may view, share links to, and print individual pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use — including reproduction, republication, modification, or commercial use — requires our prior written permission.
If you submit feedback or suggestions to us, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Site, without obligation to you.
Affiliate links and advertising
The Site is funded by display advertising (including Google AdSense) and by affiliate commissions earned when readers open accounts at financial institutions through links on the Site. Affiliate links are labeled "Sponsored" and use the rel="sponsored" HTML attribute.
We do not let advertisers or affiliate partners influence the math in our calculators or the editorial content of our guides. The presence of an institution in a rate table is not an endorsement, and the absence of an institution is not a criticism. See our Advertising Disclosure and Editorial Standards for more.
Third-party links and services
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including financial institutions and brokers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, products, or services of any third party. Your interactions with any third-party website or service are governed by that party's own terms and policies. You access third-party sites at your own risk.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses; that any rate, calculation, projection, or other information on the Site is accurate, current, or complete; or that the Site will meet your specific needs.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the disclaimers in this section apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Information Services Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
These limitations apply whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Information Services Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Changes to the Site
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Site.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Site.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you access the Site from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Information Services Inc. regarding the Site, and supersede any prior agreements.
